So good! I started with frozen chicken because I'm lazy and it came out so juicy and delicious. I love meals that cook themselves. This one is idiot proof too. Leftovers are delicious as well!
DH and I really enjoyed this dish. DS thought it was too watery and didn't think it tasted like a taco. I cooked for 8 hours in the crock pot and that was too much. Chicken was a bit overcooked.
Oh my, this was SO good! I used bone-in breasts with the skin and seared them in a pan before adding to the crockpot to give them some dimension. I discarded the bones and skin when I shredded it and let the shredded meat cook in the juice for another hour, to let it absorb the flavor. Thanks!!!
Very easy basic slow cooker reciepe. Could add lots of stuff, but good they way it is. Did add more celantro at the end as I love it fresh. Fed 4 people and had about half left so it goes a long way. Used it for nachos tonight, and will freeze some for a quick meal.
Excellent! In my large slow cooker, this took only 3 hours on low setting. I used homemade taco seasoning with no salt, and just added a little salt at the end, along with the cilantro. Served in crunchy taco shells. The whole family loved it!
Started with fresh chicken, added juice of 1 lime. Next time I'll add more lime. You could barely taste it. I've made chick with salsa in my crockpot before, just didn't add lime. Nice touch! Ate it with no-fat sour cream in a tortilla. Yummy-and drippy, too. Next time might drain the salsa a little
