Banana-Chocolate Samosas

Submitted by: GAMERGIRL22

Introduction

I saw this on a tv show called, Chris and Steven, here in Canada. It's baked not fried and I changed the candy bar to a healthier alternative. Banana's and chocolate, YUM! Ingredients

    Ingredients

2 bananas, cut into 1/4-inch (6 mm) slices
1 dark chocolate Hersey's bar(each bar cut into 12 slices)
    12 egg roll wrappers*
1/4 cup (50 mL) melted butter
2 tsp (10 mL) icing sugar for dusting (optional)

    * 1 lb. (450 g) package egg roll wrappers contains
    18 wrappers

Directions

1) Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C).
2) Line baking sheet(s) with parchment paper.
3) To prepare egg roll wrappers -- work 2 at a time since they dry out quickly -- lightly brush both sides with melted butter.
4) Place 3 slices banana and 2 slices candy bar just off-centre on each wrapper. Do not overfill. Fold over wrapper to form a triangle. Press open edges together (pressing out air pockets), fold over edges 1/2-inch (1 cm) and press down firmly to seal. Make 12 Banana-Chocolate Samosas.
5) Set samosas on lined baking sheet. Bake on middle rack 15 to 18 minutes, until golden. Turn over. Continue baking another 6 to 8 minutes, or until wrappers are golden and crispy. Dust with icing sugar to serve, if desired. Serve warm. Makes 12 Banana-Chocolate Samosas.
