Cheeseburger Pasta

Introduction

Kid friendly - and the Fiber Gourmet kicks up the fiber a notch, but not to much for young kids. Try using ground turkey in place of the ground beef, and/or light velveeta cheese to reduce fat. Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 cup Fiber Gourmet Pasta (Rotini or your choice)
    1 cup Barilla Past (Rotini or your choice)
    1/2 pound Velveeta cheese
    1 pound browned, drained, and rinsed ground beef
    1 tbsp onion powder
    1/3 cup ketchup
    2-3/4 cups water

Directions

Brown ground beef, rinse, and drain.
Add back to pan with 2-3/4 cups water, ketchup, and onion powder. Bring to boil.
Add Pasta, stir, cover and reduce heat to Med - Low
Cook 8-10 minutes until pasta is tender.
Remove from heat, add Velveeta, cover for 5 minutes until cheese melts.
Mix well and serve.
