Shannon's veggie Soup- with lentils

Introduction

I used lower sodium tomatoes and lentils to decrease the sodium as much as possible. I used lower sodium tomatoes and lentils to decrease the sodium as much as possible.
Number of Servings: 17

Ingredients

    46oz V8 low sodium
    2.25 cups lentils(1 bag dry)
    1 28oz can Dei Fratelli crushed tomatoes
    1 4oz can hyvee green chillies
    1 12oz package frozen french style green beans
    1 12oz package broccoli slaw
    1 cups water

    italian seasoning to taste
    garlic salt and pepper to taste
    onion powder to taste

Directions

put lentils in pan with water bring to boil and simmer for 1-2 hours, drain and add all other ingredients and simmer until green beans, lentils and broccoli slaw tender.
Makes 17 one cup servings.

    Thanks let me know how you like it. I also add a bit of chili powder to it when I re-heat it as I like to add different seasonings depending on the mood I am in. I also like to cook up a serving of whole wheat pasta and put with it when I re-heat it so the pasta doesn't get soggy.
