Marsha's Low Fat Low Sodium Spaghetti

Submitted by: FOTOBUG

Introduction

I needed a low fat low sodium spaghetti dinner for my family, my husband has high blood pressure. I got in the kitchen and revamped the spaghetti sauce I have always fixed and this is what I came up with. My kids couldn't tell the difference. Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (93% fat free)
2 cans tomato sauce (no salt)
1 can tomato paste (no salt)
1 tomato sauce can of water
    1 tbsp italian seasoning
    1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
    1 tbsp ketchup (no salt)
    1/2 tbsp splenda
    1/2 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp onion powder
    1/2 tsp salt substitute
    16 oz box thin spaghetti

Directions

Brown ground beef and drain. Stir in next 9 ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer. While sauce is simmering cook spaghetti as directed on box. Once spaghetti is done, drain and return to pot, mix sauce in spaghetti.

Makes 10 - 1 cup servings.

The longer the sauce simmers, the better.
