Low-fat tuna spread
Submitted by: TELERIEIntroduction
A homemade tuna spread with low fat cheese curd and low fat mayonnaise A homemade tuna spread with low fat cheese curd and low fat mayonnaiseNumber of Servings: 10
Ingredients
-
1 can (150g) of tuna in water (drained)
100 g curd cheese (1% fat)
50 g reduced-fat mayonnaise (30% fat) optional, NOT included in the calories
Pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice
Directions
Fold ingredients together until you get the texture you want. I prefer some chunks of tuna in my spread. Sometimes I add a can of sweet corn kernels to this mix.
1 serving is about a tablespoon (30g) of the mixture. Use less to cut calories.
Spread on whole-wheat bread or toast and top with slices of tomato and cucumber. (Bread and vegetables not included in the nutritional info)
Store in the fridge and use the mixture within a day or two.
