Fast Brooks Chili

Introduction

After the hamburger is browned and seasoned*, just dump two cans and heat. Prep time is 2 minutes and cook time is 10 minutes this way.

Ingredients

    1 # hamburger, browned and drained of fat
    2 T. dried onions
    1 T. beef soup base or beef granules
    1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes (Red Gold)
    1 can (30.5 oz) Brooks Quick Chili Mix

Directions

Makes 6 servings of 1 cup each.

1. In a large skillet, brown hamburger, break up into small pieces and drain fat.
2. Add dried onions and beef seasoning; stir well.
3. Add diced tomatoes and Chili Mix.
4. Heat through and serve.

NOTES:
1. Extras freeze well.
2. Be sure to add to your nutrition log any cheese and/or crackers that you eat with it.
3. Add other seasonings if you like your chili hotter.
4. SLOW COOKER:
After hamburger is prepared, just add all ingredients to slow cooker. Heat until serving temperature is reached, about 2 hours on low. Or heat on stove or microwave and put in crockpot on low to serve.


TIP: Brown 4# hamburger at once, breaking up into small pieces, drain fat, season with onions and beef soup base. Stir well. Divide into 4 packages; freeze and label. Just remove one package to make any hamburger recipe.
