Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Introduction

This is a modified recipe that my family absolutely loves! It makes enough for 2 large pizzas. This is a modified recipe that my family absolutely loves! It makes enough for 2 large pizzas.
Number of Servings: 32

Ingredients

    4 tsp yeast
    2 cups warm water
    2 tsp sugar
    3 c. whole wheat flour
    3 c. unbleached flour
    4 tbsp olive oil
    2 tbsp flax seed
    2 tbsp wheat germ
    herbs to taste (garlic, oregano etc)

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Mix sugar, yeast and water. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow yeast to dissolve. Mix other ingredients in. If the dough seems too sticky, add more flour a little at a time.
Place in a greased (I use spray olive oil) bowl and let rise for 5 minutes to one hour depending on the texture of dough you prefer. The longer you let it rise, the more bread-like the dough.
Roll out dough onto 2 greased cookie sheets or 2 large pizza pans.
Follow with sauce and toppings and bake for approximately 15 minutes or until done to your taste.
