When you're low-carbin' it, this tasty recipe fits the bill, with only a scant amount of bread crumbs! A great appetizer, or more can be consumed for a filling dinner. Ingredients

    1 pkg (20 oz) Jennie-O Italian Seasoned ground turkey
    1/3 cup nonfat milk
    1/4 cup breadcrumbs
    1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
    1 medium egg
    1 tsp garlic salt
    1 TBSP dried basil
    5 oz of lowfat mozzarella cheese, cut into 20 small cubes

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350* f.

In a large bowl, soak the breadcrumbs in the milk for a few minutes. Add the ground turkey, the egg, parmesan cheese, the garlic salt, and the basil. Mix well. Take 2 TBSP at a time and shape into a ball. Poke a cube of mozzarella cheese into each meatball.
Bake at 350* for 25-30 min.
Makes 20 meatballs- 2 meatballs per serving.
Serve with a favorite marinara sauce (not included in nutritional info.
