Butterscotch Brownies

Introduction

Ingredients

    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 large egg
    1 cup all-purpose flour*
    1/2 cup chopped nuts, if desired
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt


Directions

Melt margarine, add sugar, vanilla, egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread in 8X8 pan. Bake at 350 for 21-24 minutes. Cut into 16 squares.
