Introduction

I used a whole egg but egg whites or some other binding ingredient could be used.
The recipe does not factor in any oil used for cooking.

Ingredients

    Rosarita Traditional Style Refried Beans, 2 cup
    White Rice, long grain, 1 cup
    Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal- Plain (1/2 cup dry), 4 serving
    Egg, fresh, 1 large
    Carrots, raw, 2 carrot (7-1/2")
    Onions, raw, 3 small
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    Garlic, 4 cloves
    *Cumin seed, 1 tsp

Directions

grate carrots
finely chop onions
finely chop garlic
add rice
add oatmeal
add egg
add spices to taste
Mix together to form patty mixture - not too wet or too dry
If too wet, add more oatmeal, if too dry add more liquid
Mix into patties and fry - palm size, not too thick.
