Game Day Bison Chili

Introduction

I work Sundays, so I can get this in the crock pot before I leave and have a big pot of hearty chili by the time I get home for half-time. I work Sundays, so I can get this in the crock pot before I leave and have a big pot of hearty chili by the time I get home for half-time.
Number of Servings: 7

Ingredients

    .75 lb ground bison (calculated at 85% lean)
    1 can kidney beans (15 oz)
    1 can black beans (15 oz)
    1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
    1 can "Embasa Salsa Mexicana" (8 oz)
    1 large onion, diced
    2 roma tomatoes, diced
    6 oz mushroom pieces chopped finely
    1 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp chili powder
    1 tbsp cumin
    2 tbsp minced garlic

Directions

Put all ingredients in the slow cooker and mix well. Feel free to adjust spices or replace bison with any ground meat as you like (it turns out spicy and the garlic makes you a little smelly). Cook on high for at least 4 hours.
Makes 7 one cup servings.
