Sherie's Turkey Chili

Introduction

This dish is one of those cold day warmer-uppers! This dish is one of those cold day warmer-uppers!
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    6 oz lean ground turkey, cooked
    6 oz turkey breakfast sausage, cooked
    15 oz chili brick (Famous or 4 Star are what we have available in our area; check the frozen food section of the market)
    1 can chili beans
    1 can red kidney beans
    1 can black beans
    1 can diced tomatoes and green chilis (can use tomatoes with diced habaneros if you want it hotter)
    1 can petite diced tomatoes, salt free
    1 large can tomato sauce
    1 1/2 tsp chili powder (or to taste)
    1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper (or to taste)
    1 1/2 tsp garlic powder


Directions

Combine cooked ground turkey and turkey sausage with chili brick and 1 cup water. Cook until ingredients begin to thicken, stirring frequently. Add all other ingredients. Simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring frequently.

Serving size is 1 1/2 cups.
