I put the beans in the pressure cooker and poured boiling water over them and let them set for about an hour. Then I drained them, put the beans in the crock pot with fresh boiling water. Add all the other ingredients and stir well. Cook on high for 3 hours then turn down and finish on low. You could also cook this on low all day, I am sure. I threw in some turkey franks around noon (those are NOT calculated in the recipe). All I needed to do at dinner time was whip up a quick salad. Voila!
