Wheat french bread

Number of Servings: 16


    *Whole Wheat Flour, 2 cup
    *Flour, white, 4.5 cup
    Yeast, bakers, 2 tbsp
    Brown Sugar, 2 tbsp packed
    Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    2.5 cups warm water


In a mixer, put the yeast and water and watch for it to bubble. Add the rest of the ingredients and once dough forms a ball, allow the machine to knead the dough for 2 minutes. Remove dough hook and put bowl in a warm place to rise for one hour. Punch down and form into 2 long loaves. Cut diagonal slits and allow to rise again for an hour. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes, until done. Remove from oven and brush with a mixture of egg white and water. Allow to cool. 16 servings (8 per loaf).
