Introduction

This is my oldest son's favorite dish. I found in a cookbook recieved as a wedding gift. I cut way back on the salt and sugar coating. This is my oldest son's favorite dish. I found in a cookbook recieved as a wedding gift. I cut way back on the salt and sugar coating.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    Marinade:
    1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
    4 ounces Scotch or bourbon
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    4 teaspoons granulated sugar
    1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
    1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

    2-1/2 pounds flank steak

    1/2 cup salt
    1/2 cup confectioner's' sugar

Directions

Combine marinade ingredients. Marinate beef at room temperature for 2 hours or longer, turning frequently to baste.
Combine salt and sugar on a flat plate. Remove meat from marinade and roll in salt mixture until coated. Discard and salt mixture which does not adhere readily.
Barbque on high to char the outside. Serve in very thin slices. This cooks quickly.
