Tangy Meat Sauce

Introduction

This is from a recipe for beef brisket, but the sauce is really good over just about any type of meat. This is from a recipe for beef brisket, but the sauce is really good over just about any type of meat.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 large onion, diced
    1/2 cup butter
    1 bottle (28 ounces) Heinz ketchup
    1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
    1/3 cup lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    1 tsp. prepared horseradish sauce

Directions

Makes 12-14 servings, 1/2 cup each

In a heavy saucepan or Dutch oven, saute onion in butter until tender. Add the next nine ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered, for 30 to 40 minutes.
