Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken [Modified]

Submitted by: RAINBOWDARLING

Introduction

Modified another recipe on here to have much less sodium. We only use unsalted butter, and removed the salt since our frozen chicken comes pre-soaked in sodium solution. This makes four servings, 3 oz per person
1. Melt the butter in a frying pan
2. Brown the garlic in the butter
3. Add chicken breasts to garlic and butter and cook thoroughly, adding salt and pepper as you like it.
4. When chicken is fully cooked add brown sugar on top of each breast
5. Allow the brown sugar to melt into the chicken (about 5 minutes)
6. Serve with your favorite carb, and veggie or salad. We usually have rice or noodles and carrots or green beans.

  • My family really liked this, even my 4 yr old daughter who rarely eats more than 4 or 5 bites of meat. It seems too simple to be so good. I may decrease the butter a bit next time. I still had quite a bit left in the pan. I didn't miss the salt from the other recipe at all. Thanks! - 3/2/11
