Pam's favorite Lasgna (OAMC)

Submitted by: PJLITTLEFR63

Introduction

This is a Once a Month cooking recipe. I only like my own lasgana because I can not stand using either cottage cheese or ricotti cheese. There is something about unmelted cheese that bothers me. So this the only lasgna I will eat. I often times double this batch for and divide into lunch size containers for a quick lunch at work, or home alone dinner! This is a Once a Month cooking recipe. Directions

Fill a stock pot with water and bring to a boil. Add Lasagna noodles, cook for 7-10 minutes or until noodles are tender (not too tender that they are mushy). Meanwhile, in a fry pan, crumble and brown ground beef. Add jar of prego or other spaghetti sauce and mix well.

Drain noodles. Spray 9X 13 pan with cooking spray. Lay down a layer of noodles and spread meat sauce over top. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup parmesean (or less if wish) and sprinkle shredded mozerella on top, repeat for other layer ( I usually do 3 layers) on top layer only use spaghetti sauce and mozerella cheese. Bake for 30 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Freezing instructions: If you want to freeze for later meal you can layer without cooking then thaw and cook. Or you can cook for only 15 minutes and then freeze. I like to cook a little first then freeze. Then when I reheat I bake for15 - 20 minutes more
