Slowcooker Swiss Steak

Ingredients

    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 1/2 pounds round steak, cut into small pieces
    3 tablespoons vegetable oil
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1-28 oz can diced tomatoes
    1/2 cup tomato sauce
    1/2 cup water
    2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    2 TBSP Beef in a mug powder

Directions

In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper. Lightly coat the round steak pieces in the flour mixture.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, and saute the celery and onions about 5 minutes, until tender. Remove from heat, and set aside. Brown the round steak pieces, and cook until lightly browned.
Place the vegetables and steak in a slow cooker. Mix in the tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, water, worcestershire, brown sugar, beef in a mug.
Cover, and cook 8 to 10 hours in slowcooker on Low, until the round steak is very tender. Serve over cooked noodles or mashed potatoes, if desired. Makes 8 - 1 cup servings
