Stewed Apples

Submitted by: JASCAT0507

Introduction

My girls LOVE this recipe. I usually guestimate my ingredients with this recipe. You "a little bit of this and a little bit of that". However, the ingredients that need to be watched, specifically the butter, is about right or the recipe is over estimated. The original recipe called for orange juice and we don't keep that in the house. I've been known to cut an orange in half and squeeze it in instead of orange zest. My girls LOVE this recipe.
