Pork Chops with White Sauce and Onions

Submitted by: CRIS76

Introduction

Simple white sauce made in kitchens everywhere - mostly done for my own tracking. Obviously this is overstating the calories simply because you cook the pork in sour cream and soup - you don't eat all the liquid the pork bakes in! Ingredients

24 oz pork chops (sliced tenderloin)
    1 medium onion
1 can Campbell's Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup Prairie Farms Fat Free Sour Cream
    1/2 black pepper

This recipe isn't as "rich" as its high-fat counterpart, but it gives you comforting flavors without the calories and fat.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350'F

Place the pork into a baking dish. Do not overlap the pork - just layer them in the bottom.

Peel and slice the onion. Break the rings up and spread across the pork.

Sprinkle the pepper over the pork evenly.

Mix the sour cream and soup in a bowl. Add a little water to give it a more fluid consistency. It should be firm, but easily spread with a spoon.

Pour the mixture over the pork and use a spoon to spread it around evenly.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until done.

Remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes.

Makes 6 servings: 1 serving = 4 oz.

Number of Servings: 6
