Ingredients

20 oz (566 g) pitted dates
1/4 cup pecans
Directions
In a food processor bowl with chopping blade, pulse nuts until chopped into small pieces. Divide nuts into 2 equal amounts.
Add dates to the emptied food processor bowl with chopping blade, and chop until dates form a smooth paste.
Add 1/2 of the nuts, and process to combine equally into the date paste.
Lay the remaining nuts out on a plate in a single layer.
Taking approx. 1 1/2 TBS. of date paste, form into a log. Roll the log one revolution onto the nut plate.

*note: you can substituet your favorite nut in this recipe. If trying to keep the recipe alkaline, do not use walnuts or hazel nuts, as they have a higher acid content.
