* Lentils, 1 cup
* Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
* Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
* Garlic, 4 clove
* *Cumin ground 1 tsp
* Walnuts, 1 cup, chopped
* Mushrooms, fresh, 1 cup, pieces or slices
* Bread crumbs, dry, grated, plain, .5 cup
* Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
In a skillet, heat oil over medium high heat, cook onion until tender(about 5 minutes) Stir in ground cumin garlic. Stir in walnuts & mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are completely tender and no liquid remains, about 5 minutes. Let cool slightly. Add bread crumbs and lentils to combine. Form into 4 patties.
Grill over medium heat on a greased grill, turning once, until crisp and golden on each side. About 12 minutes.
Serve on grilled whole grain buns with grilled onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and tzatziki.
