Power Pancakes

Submitted by: CARONXANA

Introduction

I always have to have something carby in the morning. These hit the spot without the guilt and don't taste like cardboard. The chia and whole wheat flour give long lasting energy. Try them topped with a little nutella and sliced bananas, or add some mini chocolate chips or cinnamon to the batter. There are tons of possibilities. Use your imagination! They freeze well in a plastic bag. Reheat them in the toaster oven or microwave.

Instead of oat bran, you can use more whole wheat flour, or you could experiment with perhaps wheat bran or corn meal. Instead of brown sugar and a splenda packet, you could try using all baking splenda.
