Black Bean Dip

Submitted by: S26HEDGEHOG

Introduction

It's lent, so I need eat lots of beans. Lots.Of.Beans. I've listed it as one serving because 1) I eat the whole thing for dinner and 2) who really eats only 2 tbs of dip? No one, that's who. Ingredients

    Canned Black Beans, two cups
    ground cumin
    ground ginger
    lemon juice
    garlic
anything to give it spice and flavor, really

Directions

Pour some of the "bean juice" into a cup for use in a moment. If you decided to be cool and use dried black beans that you rehydrate yourself, you're going to have to use oil. That adds fat and I didn't do it. So you're on your own for nutritional information.
Anyways, pour the rest of the "bean juice" out. You don't want too much, or you end up with soup. In a blender or food processor - add the "bean juice." Then, a bit at a time add the black beans. You could add them all at once, I suppose. I have a tiny little black and decker that's pretty worthless, so I have to do a little at a time.
After you have it nice and smooth, add whatever it is that you want to make it tasty. I like spicy stuff. Try to eat it with veggies. Tortilla chips defeat the purpose.
