My Sauce

Introduction

This is my family's Italian tomato sauce, the reason why I will never eat canned sauce! I use canned tomato puree. This is my family's Italian tomato sauce, the reason why I will never eat canned sauce! I use canned tomato puree.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    ~2 cans Tomato Puree (about 6.5 cups)
    ~1 T. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    ~2 t. Better Than Boullion, Beef-Base, mixed in 16oz. boiling water
    ~1/4 c. Splenda
    ~10 medium fresh mushrooms, chopped
    ~1.5 t. Salt
    ~4 t. crushed garlic
    ~1 T. Parsley
    ~1.5 T. Oregano
    ~1 T. Basil
    ~2 Bay Leaves (or about 1 t. crumbled)

Directions

~Combine all ingredients in a crock pot & cook on low for 4-5 hours. Stir occasionally.
