this makes about 20 cups so you might want to cut recipe in half. The leftovers freeze very well for up to 3 months
THIS IS A GOOD KNOCK-OFF OF WENDY'S CHILI
this makes about 20 cups so you might want to cut recipe in half. The leftovers freeze very well for up to 3 months

Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    2lbs lean ground beef (drain off fat
    1 29oz can tomato sauce
    1 29 oz cankidney beans
    1 29 oz can pinto beans
    1 cup diced onion
    1 7 oz can diced green chilis(.5 cup)
    1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
    2 teaspoons cumin powder
    3 tablespoons chili powder
    1 teaspoon black pepper
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 cups water

Directions

1. Brown beef drain fat
2. In large pot (this makes alot) combine beef and all other ingredients bring to a simmer over low heat stir every 15-20 minutes. Cook for 2-3 hours.
makes about 20 1 cup servings
