Chelles Potato Soup

Ingredients

    *Potato, raw, 8 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.)
    Onions, raw, 1 large
    Garlic, 3 cloves
    Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
    Parsley, 2 tbsp
    Pepper, black, 1 dash
    Garlic powder, 1 tsp
    *Onion powder, 1 tsp
    Bacon, 1 unit, cooked (yield from 1 lb raw m
    Beef broth, bouillon, consomme, 2 cup

Directions

Chop and brown bacon in large stock pot, drain bacon and add onions and garlic, let carmelize on bottom of pan then deglaze pot with beef stock and then add water, potatoes, parsley and seasonings, simmer until potatoes are soft.
