Homemade Spicy Turkey Sausage

Submitted by: ARDUANNE

Introduction

Another one from Recipezaar, but this one has a kick to it! Leftovers for either this or the Mild Turkey Sausage can be frozen for use later. Another one from Recipezaar, but this one has a kick to it! Leftovers for either this or the Mild Turkey Sausage can be frozen for use later.

Ingredients

    1.25 lb ground turkey
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp sage
    1 tsp fennel seed
    1 tsp thyme
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp white pepper
    1/2 tsp cayenne
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1/8 tsp ground cloves
    1/8 tsp nutmeg
    1/8 tsp allspice

Directions

You can increase or decrease the peppers as you prefer to increase or decrease the heat in this sausage.

Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Refrigerate overnight (in a tightly sealed container) to allow the meat to absorb the spices. Can be cooked loose or formed into patties.
