Homemade Mild Turkey Sausage

Submitted by: ARDUANNE

Introduction

Turkey sausage can be a pain to find at the grocery here. It often requires a 45 minute trip to the organic/fresh food markets in larger cities nearby. I found this recipe for loose turkey sausage (that is called for in several recipes I have) on recipezaar. Turkey sausage can be a pain to find at the grocery here. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1.25 lb ground turkey
1 clove garlic, crushed or minced
    1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt (I use a salt substitute)
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1/8 tsp thyme
    1/8 tsp oregano
    1/8 tsp marjoram
    1/4 tsp fennel seed

Directions

Thoroughly combine all ingredients. Place in the refrigerator overnight (in a tightly sealed container) to allow the meat to pick up the spices. Can be used loose or formed into patties.
