Sharon's Chicken Cacciatore

Introduction

One of my husband's childhood favorites. One of my husband's childhood favorites.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 lbs Chicken Parts (I've subbed 2lbs boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins)
    2 Tbsp Olive Oil
    1 can (10 OZ) Tomato Soup
    cup Water
    cup dry red wine
    2 Large cloves of garlic, minced
    1 tsp Crushed Oregano
    tsp No-Salt Salt Substitute
    1 cup Green Bell Pepper cut into strips
    cup chopped onion

Directions

In skillet, brown chicken in olive oil, drain fat. Add remaining ingredients.

Cover and cook over low heat for 45 minutes, stir occasionally.

Uncover and cook until sauce thickens to desired consistency.
