Mushroom basil chicken w/ wild rice

Number of Servings: 3


    1 cup dry wild rice
    2 1/2 cup water

    - Chicken and sauce
    9 oz cooked chicken breast
    2 tbsp butter
    2 Tbsp flour
    1 package mushrooms sliced
    1/4 cup onion minced
    10 basil leaves
    1 cup chicken broth
    1/3 cup sour cream
    pinch of salt and pepper


Boil water and start rice (average wild rice takes 35 min.)

Melt butter on medium heat. Add mushrooms and begin to brown, then add onion. Stir in the flour. Next, whisk in the broth and simmer until thick. Last, add basil and sour cream. Pour over chicken and serve with rice.
