Apple Sauce - Slowcooker

Introduction

This is a variation on my mom's recipe. I changed it for the slow cooker and removed the sugar. This is a variation on my mom's recipe. I changed it for the slow cooker and removed the sugar.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    6 Medium Applese Peeled and cut into pieces
    1 tbsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 cup water

    *note you can add some sweetener if you want it sweetened; I prefer it without

Directions

Peel and slice apples.
Add all ingredients to med sized slow cooker (4 qt or so works fine)
Mix and let cook on high for 3-5 hours or until apples are breaking down. Stir occasionally to break up the apples.

You can mash them to desired consistency or throw it in the blender if you want it thin...I like it chunky :) I like to use a whisk so its still chunky but they're small chunks.
