Chocolate Cravings smoothie

Introduction

When you really REALLY need something chocolatey. This comes out slightly gritty but has a wonderful truffle-like flavor. Maybe melt the choc. chips prior to blending? When you really REALLY need something chocolatey. This comes out slightly gritty but has a wonderful truffle-like flavor. Maybe melt the choc. chips prior to blending?
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1 cup frozen, unsweetened raspberries and strawberries
    1 cup soymilk
    1/4 cup choc. chips (I used Nestle semi-sweet toll house chips)
    2 tbspn honey

Directions

I used a Vita-Mix blender. Put frozen fruit into carafe, add honey, choc. chips, soymilk, and process for about 1 minute. Dairy users can substitute fat-free milk. Vegans can use organic sugar instead of honey.

  • I think even if you melt the chips prior, the other ingredients would rusult in the same texture, as the chocolate would get cold again. Still sounds yummy an oh the antioxidents!! - 3/8/10
