Sometimes we need a taste of beef. This is a low calorie, low fat, tasty recipe for an affordable piece of beef.

Sometimes we need a taste of beef. This is a low calorie, low fat, tasty recipe for an affordable piece of beef.


Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 pounds round steak
    1 teaspoon salt
    teaspoon pepper
    1 teaspoon minced garlic
    1 large sliced onion
    16 oz sliced mushrooms
    1 16 oz can of tomato sauce


Directions

Trim fat from meat and cut into individual portions. Pound meat with meat mallet; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place round steak in shallow baking dish. Cover with sliced onion, minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Pour tomato sauce over entire dish. Bake at 325 for 1 hour to 1-1 hours until tender.
