Mini Fruit Tarts

Introduction

Simple shortcrust basket with custard and strawberry+jelly. Simple shortcrust basket with custard and strawberry+jelly.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Shortcrust pastry
    Frozen strawberries
    Custard made from 1% milk, custard powder and sugar

Directions

Place 3x3" pastry squares in muffin tray.
Bake pastry in 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
Bring strawberries, water and sugar to a boil.
Add cornflour to thicken into jelly.
Bring milk and 1 tbsp sugar to a boil, add custard powder.
Remove from heat, stir to thicken and allow to cool.
Spoon custard into pastry basket, top with strawberry jelly.

Makes 8 small tarts.
