Ingredients

    .75 cups brown sugar, 3 cups chopped almonds, .5 cups of butter, 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

grease cookie sheet and cover with a layer of chopped almonds.
melt butter in saucepan over medium heat, add brown sugar stirring constantly . insert candy thermometer and heat until temperature reaches 290 degrees. remove from heat and pour mixture over chopped almonds. pour chocolate chips over hot toffee and smooth with wooden spoon. cover hot chocolate with remaining chopped almonds. score with knife, allow to cool in frig for an hour.
break apart. makes 24 pieces.
