One of my favorite recipes from my mom's cookbook, revamped to make it healthier. Serve with green beans or a salad for a delicious, satisfying meal. Ingredients

1 lb ground sirloin
1 envelope onion soup mix
1.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
8 oz whole wheat pasta
2 cans petite diced tomatoes (14.5 oz each)
2 cups water
.25 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Directions
Brown ground beef in a large skillet; rinse meat thoroughly with hot water & drain. Return to heat; add soup mix, Italian seasoning, tomatoes & water. Bring to a boil, then stir in pasta & cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stir in parmesan cheese and top with mozzarella; heat until cheese melts.
