Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb. ground beef 93% lean
    2 cans dark red kidney beans
    2 cans stewed tomatoes
    2 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp cumin
    1 tsp salt
    chopped onions (optional/not included in info)
    chopped green peppers (optional/not included in info)

Directions

If you have a food processor, you may want to ground up the lean beef into hamburger consistency first.

Brown beef; rinse and drain. Add to large/medium pot with lid. Add beans and tomatoes. Add spices and 1-2 cans of water.

Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce to simmer for 30 minutes and serve.

We like to serve this with fat-free sour cream, low-fat grated cheddar cheese and a few soda crackers.
