Chocolate Chip Bars

Number of Servings: 36

Ingredients

    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    1 cup unsweetened applesauce
    3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 cups granulated sugar
    3 tsp baking powder
    3/4 tsp salt (optional)
    2 cups chocolate chips

Directions

In a large bowl combine vegetable oil and applesauce. In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients EXCEPT chocolate chips. Combine the two mixtures until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips.

Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 16x10 jelly roll pan with non-stick baking spray. Spread batter evenly into pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until top is light brown. Cool completely and cut into small squares.
