Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup Mix (equivalent to 1 can)Submitted by: CHRIS-CATHI
* 1/2 cup Broth, warmed (or 1/2 tsp chicken base in 1/2 cup water)
* 1/2 cup Whole Milk, warmed
* 1 tbsp Butter
* 1 tbsp Olive Oil
* 3 tbsp Flour
* Salt & Pepper to taste
minced garlic or dash garlic powder
2 - In medium soup pan, melt butter with oil (set burner between med-low and medium heat so as not to scorch the butter/oil). Whisk in the flour until smooth.
3 - Very slowly whisk in the broth and milk, simmering and whisking constantly. Do not turn burner to a higher heat. Be patient and it will come to a simmer gently if you add the liquid in small portions. Whisk constantly until fully thickened.
4 - Add salt, pepper, and/or any other seasonings of choice.
Makes the equivalent of 1 can of condensed soup.
