Morning Fruit and Salad Smoothie

Introduction

Great raw start to the day! Great raw start to the day!
Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    Chop up and puree the following all at once:

    1 Apple or pear, peeled
    1 C Strawberries
    3 slices canned pineapple (or fresh)
    1 kiwi fruit, peeled
    1 banana
    1 tangerine or orange, peeled
    some zest from the tangerine/orange
    1/4 lemon with peel (remove white in-between)
    1 C frozen blueberries, mixed berries, or mango
    4 C baby spinach, packed
    1-2 Tbsp flax seed meal

Directions

Throw it all together in a blender and serve! Substitute fruits as you wish. Banana and mango give a smooth texture, and frozen berries or other frozen fruit are important for texture and cooling. To make it a lunch I add organic plain lowfat yogurt and sometimes a bit of maple syrup or honey. Can't even taste the spinach! Ignore the color, it's yummy! My picky 2.5 year-old LOVES this for breakfast.
