Wash each fillet of Tilapia (1 lb = 4 fillets). In one bowl, add the flour. In a second bowl, beat the egg. In a third bowl, add the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. One at a time, dredge each fillet of Tilapia in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the bread crumb mixture. In a medium skillet, melt 4 Tbsp of butter. When the butter is melted, add two of the breaded Tilapia fillets. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 5-10 minutes on each side, until the breading is golden brown, and until the fish is white and flaky. Repeat with the next two fillets. Serve immediately.
