Brown Sugar Walnut Dessert Bacon

Submitted by: GOTHICLOLLIPOP

Introduction

Inspired by an Alton Brown recipe, adapted for the microwave and a low calorie diet. Know it sounds weird, but it's balance of sweet, salty and crunchy makes it delicious. Ingredients

2 strips of pre-cooked microwavable bacon
1/2 tsp Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
3/4 tsp crushed walnuts (aprox. 1 walnut)

Directions

Crush the walnut by placing it in a sandwhich bag and hitting it with something (I used a bottle of champagne that happened to be sitting out--you might also want to put it on top of a cutting board or something in case the bag tears open when you hit it). Use your fingers to mix the crushed walnut with the Splenda Brown Sugar Blend. Place the bacon on a paper towel, and sprinkle it with the splenda/walnut mixture. Microwave for forty seconds, or according to the directions on the microwave bacon package. Enjoy!
