IntroductionThis delicious recipe makes 12 servings of yeast free raisin bread with a crispy crust. Healthy to have when a carb craving strikes! Fast to make and include ways to have it even lower calorie! This delicious recipe makes 12 servings of yeast free raisin bread with a crispy crust. Healthy to have when a carb craving strikes! Fast to make and include ways to have it even lower calorie!
1 cup white flour
1/2 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt (just a pinch really)
1 extra large egg (egg substitute will lower the calories)
3 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp butter (diet margarine will lower the calories)
3 Tbsp raisins
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
Blend in sifted flour, ground cinnamon, salt and baking powder.
Add the raisins and blend in.
Place in non-stick bread pan (or for a flatter version, place a non-stick baking sheet).
Bake at 375 F for about 25-30 minutes until the bread is done. May also be baked in muffin pans for about 15-20 minutes to make 12 small muffins.
The flour, baking powder and salt may all be substituted for self-raising flour to speed things up a bit.
