Homemade Hummus Barb's recipe

Red Beans - Barb's way
I serve as a main dish with brown rice, since it is a little saucy for a side. It is a sweet version so the kids love it. For a heartier version I sometimes mix in cooked italian sausage or cooked ground pork or cooked chopped poultry. Barb's Favorite Hot Fudge Sauce
A really dark, not too sweet fudge sauce. Because it does not require any cream we usually have everything on hand if we want to make it. Terrific with ice cream and strawberries. I divide this in half and freeze half for another time. Freezes really well, just reheat in the microwave when needed. I used to buy a similar salad at a deli before I retired and ate it 2 or 3 days a week. Now, I've devised my own version here. The chopping/slicing/dicing takes awhile, but is well worth the finished product. (My version is virtually sugar free and low carbs.
