Add a LITTLE extra flavor to your veggies by pan frying up some turkey bacon while you steam your veggies until they are ALMOST DONE. Then add them to the pan with bacon and stir. Marinated & Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Great recipe for a healthy but not always yummy food. I add lots of black pepper and a little grated parmesan cheese if I need a little extra calcium. Can be refridgerated and used as a snack or a side for up to week after cooking. PREP TIME CUT BY AT LEAST 20-25 MINUTES IF USE FROZEN SPROUTS, but fresh tastes better!Submitted by: ANNIEMNM

Sauteed Brussel Sprouts with Red Cabbage

Before this recipe, I never ate brussel sprouts. This made me a believer. It is also a great veggie for a Zone eaters -- you get one block in just two cups! This red cabbage and brussel sprouts dish is colorful and flavorful.

The nutritional breakdown uses pork bacon, but turkey works too. You may need more olive oil with turkey bacon because your fat dripping yeild won't be as high. I've tried it both ways and have been pleased. Enjoy!Submitted by: MISSTEARWEUS
