Roasted Nuts & Seeds Snacks
Have you ever tasted roasted nuts fresh from the oven? MMMM! Before I started making this snack, DH used to bring home bags of chips and salty snacks and neither of us could resist them. Now I make up a month of salt-free, heart-healthy snacks that take care of our savory cravings and give us our healthy fats for the day. Store in zip-lock snack bags and you are ready to grab and go whenever the munchies hit. Great to keep in the glove box for when you need a snack on the run. Chicken salad w/ grapes and nuts
Bake whole skinless chicken breasts until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees. Cool then chop coarsely. Finely chop celery. Slice grapes in half. Toast walnuts for about 6 minutes at 375 degrees, Cool the nuts. Combine all ingredients with the mayo and mustard. Add salt to taste. Yields 4 cups, or 8 1/2 cup servingsSubmitted by: SUSANC63145

Garbanzo Nuts
My grandma reminded me of this recipe - that I used to whip together in univeristy - after returning from a trip to Spain. She mentioned having roasted chickpeas as a trail-mix like snack.
