By nature of being vegan, this recipe is cholesterol free, though I suppose you could change that and use regular butter and milk instead if that's what you have on hand.

This is a plain recipe that will make a biscuit-like scone, but you can jazz them up with whatever you have around: cinnamon, blueberries, dark chocolate chips, etc.

I usually add about a cup of blueberries. (If you do this, add .125 cups of blueberries to your nutrition tracker for each serving)Submitted by: TAILSFOX

Puyallup Fair Scones (Fisher Scones)

A trip to the Puyallup Fair (The Western Washington Fair) isn't complete without this Northwest tradition! They sell like 80,000 of these a day, topped with a big glob of raspberry jam. They are good cold, but best when they are warm.

(And its pronounced "pew-ALLup").

These are NOT low in calories!! I had to make them for my sons schools Mothers Day Tea (of course I sampled one while there) so I needed to calculate out the recipe. They are super delicous though, eat lots of veggies the rest of the day to make up for it! LOLSubmitted by: JEEP_GIRL

Basic Scones

This is the basic recipe. I often replace 1/2 cup of flour with a combination of natural bran, wheat germ, and flax meal. Delicious with marmalade. I also use these to make individual strawberry shortcakes. I also sometimes reduce the milk to make a stiffer dough, roll it out and make cinnamon rolls.
